situated a mile from the Italian border, has the reputation to have the warmest climate of the French Riviera. The city is framed by steep mountain cliffs and terraced slopes planted with tropical gardens, citrus and olive trees. The 19th century cemetery, the boulevard de Garavan, the flavorful covered market, the lovely old town and its little cafés and local shops... Menton is a GEMME. But ssshhhh ...
